I’m so glad that the first book I read in 2016 was this.

I actually bought the book a while back when the film adaption first came out in the cinema, but it’s just been sat collecting dust on my bookshelf.

I can’t believe I didn’t read this book sooner! It’s heartbreaking and gripping and everything I’ve come to love in a good book. It’s so well written and articulated beautifully in the voice of a teenage girl. The storyline is realistic and relatable and I found myself growing attached to the main character, Mia.

The book is left on such an amazing gripping cliffhanger that I’m left yearning for payday to buy the sequel.

All that is left is to hope that when I eventually get round to watching the movie,  that it lives up to the high standard set by the novel.
